Roberto Cavalli Fall 2012.
Leopards and tigers and snakes, oh my. Roberto Cavalli's fall runway was a veritible breeding ground of species, and just like the tiger print rug on the floor (made out of tens of thousands of flowers) his collection was all about the inherent mysterious qualities of the wild. Pailettes that looked like fish scales were actually made of leather. Tiger and zebra stripes on pants were created with sequins. Minks became crocodiles; crocodiles became snakeskin and brocades were made with fur. In the end, it was all about the beauty of nature...and nature never looked so good. File as into the wild.
