Erdem Spring 2012.

Pretty as an English garden, Erdem showcased one of the most obvious but still the most celebrated trends for springtime (well at least on the runways in London that is) of floral, floral everywhere. It may be getting chillier by the day here in the Bay Area, but I can't wait for springtime, where I'm sure going to find a way to work these chintzy prints into my wardrobe and maybe even my home decor. File under flower power.

Antonio Berardi Spring 2012.

Who doesn't love a woman as warrior? The oft referenced inspiration took on a whole new feeling at Anotnio Berardi's spring runway show. She was made a little softer (with those blush tones), a little looser in places (see the suit silhouettes) and even a little more fun (bedazzled leggings, sign me up.) But I completely ate it up, especially that blush and red embroidered jacket paired with an etherial empire waist dress that left me dreaming of Joan of Arc or a fairytale from another time. File as fantasy.

Burberry Prorsum Spring 2012.

Ok, so we all know that Burberry has basically got coats and jackets down to a science, and even though this was a spring collection, there were plenty of coats to fawn over. Lots of handwoven textures, flirty shapes, and always always belted, these spring coats (almost) made me want to leave California for colder climates. Seems to me that would translate well across all ages and all styles meaning that I could always borrow mom's come springtime. Hint, hint. File under pre-order.

Best of NYFW Spring 2012.

Fashion week for me is the ultimate in sensory overload, and this season there was no shortage of wattage radiating from the runways. Whether it was sports-heavy collections like Alexander Wang, Victoria Beckham or Altuzarra; all out glam at Oscar de la Renta, Derek Lam and Marchesa or subversive simplicity at Calvin Klein, Prabal Gurung or Yigal Azrouel; these designers showcased some out of control looks that I am going to be dying to recreate come spring time. Above you can check out my top fifteen looks of the season; neatly arranged into three categories. If I had to pick an ultimate favorite? Hmm...keep reading after the jump to see which is my #1 as well as a complete breakdown of each look! File as spring forward.

Seeing Double MFW Spring 2012.

If there were one word to describe my sense of style it would probably be eclectic. Even though I may be uber-decisive in the non-fashion word (my response time can be google-fast) when it comes to my own closet I find that my looks can seriously be all over the place. Bohemian luxe with my midi-length t-shirt dress, snakeskin boots and vegan leather faux shearling vest? LOVE. Laid-back glam in my sequined pencil skirt paired with my black bustier and a denim jacket (Abercrombie, circa 8th grade, mind you?) OBSESSED. French cuffed chinos with my fav worn in tee, Missoni cardigan and leopard pointy toe flats? ON THE REG. I think you get the point, mostly that I am a fashion junkie and haven’t met a style I couldn’t learn to love. So next time you’re asking yourself, this or that? Both, I say! Man, I wish all decisions could be this easy. File as have it all.

Uh Oh. It's Monday.

So it seems I've been caught red-handed on this Monday...I promised you a few more posts this weekend and clearly did not deliver. I had entirely too much fun with friends this weekend- shopping in San Francisco, running into old pals and exploring the best of San Francisco's street festivals. But alas! It's Monday now and what better way to start the week than with some fresh posts to make up for my absence this weekend. I hope you all had a fabulous time over your weekends, but stay tuned this week for the few posts I promised earlier as well as a new home decor post I'll hope you'll drool over (as I have!) File under back to work.

It's Friday Friends.

It's Friday again, and what a few weeks it has been. Both New York and London fashion weeks have wrapped, Milan fashion week is in full swing and Paris should be hosting shortly. Not only on the fashion news front, but I have been caught in my own personal whirlwind due mostly to my never-ending job hunt, trying to keep up with old friends in town, another friend's impending engagement party, planning my family's Christmas vacation and attempting to not have my kitchen (or my closet for that matter) look like a bomb exploded there. I hope you all have some fabulous weekend plans for yourselves, I'll be spending mine shopping with the above mentioned friend, cleaning out (or maybe just cleaning up) my closet and attending a film screening to support my Berkeley bears. I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Stay tuned for a delicious recipe for the still-warm California weather, more updates from London and Milan fashion week(s) and maybe even a home decor post thrown in there for good measure. File as weekend time loves!

Those Prada boots mixed with worn in denim. Beautiful.

Another It Girl spotting, this time it's Christine Centenera in Givenchy.

Now this is what I'd like to call bag ladies anonymous

Favorite fur color thus far. GORG.

Print mash-up and Christopher Kane clutch.

Prada skirt and stole + Louis Vuitton shoes = delicious.

Hmm...I see a Prada theme going on here. Love those sunnies.

ADR! in Prada no less!

Leopard jeans rolled up. Uber-cute.

Is that you Garance Dore?

Even handbags need a bike rack.

Glitter rain at the Burberry finale.

Fabrics at Mary Katrantzou.

Erdem mood board.

It's It Girl: Kate Lanphear in Balenciaga.
