Who's that Girl?

Can you guess the stylish individual above who uses her clothes as some of the most fashionable armor I've ever seen? I'll give you a little hint...she had been photographed by Bill Cunningham, she may be editor of an international issue of Vogue, but her personal style is the complete opposite of the Anna we know here in the states. Keep reading after the jump to see just who she is...

Versace for H&M.

Even though the news dropped last week that Versace would be unveiling their first collection with H&M come this November (the 17th to be exact for all you style stalkers out there) the biggest development yet showed up in the form of a mini preview- Donatella herself strutting down the runway post Versace Men's collection in one of the collection's affordable dresses. According to the designer, the line for H&M will be using "iconic Versace pieces of iconic Versace moments" with prints, leather, and studs of course to mix up her dramatic and exciting take on rock and roll. File as on the calendar.

Orange Sunday.

Totally obsessing over this Prada shirt for men.

Looking totally delicious.

Orange pants never looked better when paired with these slippers.

Brad Goreski, ex-assistant of stylist Rachel Zoe. Spotted.

Excellent color combination here. I'm thinking I need a purple jacket.

Perfect everyday tote.

Orange belt, orange pants, orange shirt. Done, done and done

I hope that everyone is enjoying this lovely Sunday. In the Bay Area the sun is out in full-force and it looks like it is in Milano as well for the men's shows where the color of the moment is none other than a pop of orange. I can't imagine any other color I'd rather be wearing on a day like today. Until Monday! File under super fresh.

Town or Country?

Big impact in a little space or room to breathe?

Mini seating area or multiple conversation areas?

Bar seating or extra large kitchen island with separate dining room?

Creative spacing or serene bedroom space?

Shared bathroom or double sinks?

If there is one argument I constantly have with boyfriends it would be the question of town or country? I would definitely consider myself to be a city girl; I love being able to walk downstairs and be in the center of the action, walking or taking public transportation wherever my heart desires. Living in town usually means sacrificing on space, but after cramming into many tiny apartments in the past five years I find myself attracted to the challenge of making everything work perfectly in as little square feet as possible. Maybe I'll come around to the endless space of the country eventually, but for now I'm in love with my city. Which one do you prefer? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

It Girl: Joanna Hillman.

This it girl has already shown up three times (!) already on the.margaret.files. unbeknownst to me of course- her perfectly organized shoe cube resides on the right hand side of the.margaret.files., and her tropical inspired outfit and her red purse showed up on a previous post, Color me Pretty. I took this as a sign that I needed to figure out just who this it girl was. So without further adieu, I'd like to introduce to you Joanna Hillman, senior fashion market editor of Harper's Bazaar U.S. This girl, never captured without her trademark sunglasses, seriously knows how to layer for the perfectly pulled together look, making her the It Girl for this week. File as fabulous.

Top Collections Resort 2012.

The resort collections for 2012 (yes that year is correct) have proved out to be quite the sleeper hit for me. While browsing the first few days I blew it off as just another in-between season of clothes that are mostly reserved for those going on a fabulous holiday (definitely not me.) However, when I laid eyes on the five collections you see above, I couldn't help but ogle them with the same enthusiasm that I do the spring, fall and couture collections. With these five top collections overall- Zac Posen, Lanvin, Chloe, Givenchy and No. 21- I am completely enthralled with the upcoming resort season...whenever that may actually occur. File as vacation time.

Party Girl: Country Alfresco.

It's Friday, thank goodness, and that means celebrating not only the end of the week, but also the beginning of the weekend! I'll be spending the next few days locked in the library finishing up final papers and job hunting while spending a little time with my dad while he's here visiting. I hope that you have a productive and fun weekend as well! And if you're feeling extra joyful, perhaps celebrate the beginning of summer with an alfresco dinner party with your closest friends. Keep reading after the jump to see the entire party breakdown and have a lovely weekend, whomever you'll be spending it with!

Rainbow Bright Kitchens.

This past week has been one of the brightest I've had in a while mostly thanks to one new friend (and neighbor!) in particular who has acted as my partner in crime (ok not really) while gallivanting around the Bay Area. And although our mini dinner party this weekend will take place within our rather shabby apartment building, I couldn't help but imagine what it would be like if I had a kitchen that was as bright and exciting as her personality and style. So today, these rainbow bright kitchens and looks to match are dedicated to my new friend Emily, who makes even the most mundane situations terribly fun. File as out of the ordinary.

Top Shots: Girl TIme.

Best mix of patterns ever.

I'm needing those sunglasses. Amazing.

My current favorite trend- pajamas on the street!

Red lip. Check. Purple shirt. Check. Sleek chignon. Perfection.

Loving this Stella McCartney print. So festive.

Oh Anna, you have done it again.

I could never tire of bright pink.

Light pink sweet blouse paired with hardcore gold cuff equals love.

Men's inspired details are the best.

So it may be the men walking down the runways (for the Spring 2012 collections) in Milano this time around, but I have to admit that the ladies who attended the shows have never looked better. File under so much more fun to be a woman.

Hawaii Hot Flash.

In an ode to the sunshine today, I am mentally sending everyone off on a vacation to the place I'd most like to be right now...that's right, the beach. Any beach would do with this heat, but there is one in particular that I've been dying to visit ever since I moved to the Bay Area. To the lucky West coasters who call Hawaii their go-to vacation spot, I envy you. Growing up in Texas, Hawaii was completely out of the question; instead my family spent vacations in and around Mexico rather than the far island in the Pacific. But now that it's only a five hour plane ride away, I'm thinking I'm going to need a little getaway. Check out the full itinerary after the jump as well as the perfect Luau outfit for any beach-goer. File as beat the heat.

Summer Blooms.

Oh, how joyous it is that summer is here! Berkeley is burning up (anything above 75 degrees is just intolerable here considering air-conditioning is few and far between) but thank goodness I was able to find refuge today in a cool theater for an after-school matinee showing of Bill Cunningham New York, the fabulous documentary about the original street style photographer. If you can, I strongly recommend you go see it. Even though Cunningham is totally New York, the summer heat here on the west coast has brought the best of Berkeley style out- adorable, flirty and bright floral dresses. I'm thinking I'll have to dust some of mine off, in an attempt to beat the summer heat. Check out the floral accessory that I am coveting right now after the jump...which would be a perfect addition to any closet. File under garden party.

For my Dad.

Clearly not my dad, but too cute to resist!

If I had to choose, I think I would probably consider myself a daddy's girl (sorry mom, love you too) probably because more than anyone else in my life, I've always wanted to make him proud. I know it sounds totally cheesy, but I have to admit that it is completely true. Without his guidance I never would have imagined how great my dreams could actually be...and how many of them could actually come true! Not only is he my greatest role model, but he is also one of my best friends. So here is to you Dad, for all the sacrifices you've made for me, the late nights watching bad TV when I'm at home, being my number one fan, always challenging me to be my best self and inspiring me to dream big. File under love you.

Edited: Laundry Day.

Even though I've been away from my computer for the past few days, I have yet to complete many of the things on my to-do list for this weekend. Most of them involve cleaning, and so I was pleasantly surprised to find some great inspiration in the form of Vogue Germany's new spread of Ginta Lapina doing just that- cleaning up. So although I spent yesterday exploring the new Picasso exhibit at the De Young with some new friends (more on that early in the week) the rest of my weekend will be spent doing all those boring tasks on my list, the largest of which would be cleaning my apartment. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend...even if you are just working down your to-do list like me. File under messy.

Oh, and keep reading after the jump for one picture that I just couldn't resist although do so at your own risk (it's not so safe for work.)
