I've Done a Bad, Bad Thing.
Ok, I'm sorry! Well wait, I think I'd like to change that to sorry I'm not sorry! Kidding! But seriously this past week for me has literally gone by in a flash. Although I couldn't seem to find the time to do a blog post last week, I was having a rather lovely week enjoying the Olympics, catching up on sleep, and making plans to see some old friends in the near future. But, after a coworker pointed out that since I've started working with the company my blog posts have decreased by half per month, I knew something had to change. So I'm here to say that I'm back! Stay tuned for some fabulous posts over the next few weeks. File as going for gold.

Insta-Files: Moving Day.
No, it wasn't the moving day that I have really been hoping for...but it will suffice nonetheless! With a new office (what it lacks in windows to the outside world it definitely makes up for with white, ridiculously oversized offices) I can't help but be happy that I feel like I'm moving someplace new. And I'm taking my flamingo with me. File as purse passenger!

Current Obsessions: Black Tie.
What's wrong for wanting a little glam factor every day of the week? Well, I've been definitely smitten with the black-tie mood of the above snaps. Whether it's a Tom Ford tuxedo (does clothing really get any better than that for a man?) wearing the chicest black shorts like a pro or sipping on copious amounts of bubbly (Vueve of course) there is nothing wrong with upping the glam factor, if just a little bit. File as bubble time.

ApartmentPhile: My Next Place Option III.
My boss got me thinking today. Not just about the massive to-do list I have looming over my head this week, but also about my current home situation. Instead of contemplating if the coupons were finished printing I had my mind wrapped up in duvets, chaises, and directional storage options. (Call it a job hazard if you like, but my mind often wanders to these places, unguided.) So her quest reminded me of my quest to decide my next apartment style whether it be funky, boho and super luxe like option two or chic, masculine and rich like option one. Now, I have another option to throw into the mix. It's a little less cold as the first option, a little more girly than the second and a whole lot closer to what I'm used to. Hey, I've been a single gal living on my own for quite some time...a little pink never hurt anyone. File as another choice.

Insta-Files: Mamacita.
My mother and I just so happen to see eye to eye on many things. Shoes, being one of these. And these wedges from Topshop (that I have been lusting after for weeks) were one more reason why I love my mother so much. Not just because she is my favorite shopping companion and she sent these to me while on her most recent Vegas vacation, but mostly because she understands the absolute pleasure that a pair of shoes can bring when you're having a not so great week. File as thanks, ma!

-Giambattista Valli Couture Fall 2012-
As I'm sure you very well know by now, nothing gets my heart aflutter quite like haute couture fashion week (well maybe a pair of Topshop shoes as well) but it is this fabulous week that the creme-de-la-creme of couturiers come out to play....not to mention the leagues of editrexes, fashionistas and bloggers that come out of hiding to bask in the best that fashion has to offer. Can you feel my excitement through the computer? I mean really, and with Giambattista Valli's show complete with butterflies, the newest it accessory aka the hairnet (stay tuned for more of that) and flowers (whether in prints or in 3D) exploding from every look I just couldn't get enough. File as garden delights.

Insta-Files: Martin Mania.
Another Sunday funday spent at the Melrose Trading Post with my dearest friend, Melody, here in LA (and not just any Sunday, but her birthday; YAY!) Although I was short on the cash this time around, I've got my eye on some pieces once my bank account reaches a more manageable amount. Melrose Trading Post vendors, you've been warned. File as happy Sunday, loves.

--------Balmain Resort 2013--------
I'm having this newfound obsession with super full mini-skirts that are reminiscent of a ball gown chopped off mid-thigh (go figure) and Balmain's leather version for resort 2013 may be my favorite just yet. Alas, the one (or maybe two) dresses on Asos that mimic that full skirted fabulousness (see them here and here) are of course sold out in my size (not to mention I have no money to spend on such frivolous purchases.) But I haven't give up just yet...come the end of summer I'm hoping to have a better hold on my finances, a larger closet to put my clothes in and a fuller skirt to stick these stems in. File as full on.

-----------Logo Nation-----------
Art shmart; I'm all about these logos above. Done up of course in the most fabulous of watercolors, inks and florals (clearly obsessed...see the Roberto Cavalli Resort 2013 post below) these logos are re-imagined in a way that is truly stunning. File as loving.

-----Roberto Cavalli Resort 2013-----
There may not have been a leopard print in sight, but Roberto Cavalli's resort 2013 presentation was definitely not lacking in the fierce factor. Who knew that florals could look so edgy with lace details, pleated accents and collars up to there? Leave it up to the master of boho edginess to take the Cavalli girl to the next level of sophistication. File as game changer.

---Manday Monday: Pitti Uomo Part I---
Another Manday Monday this week? Sign me up. My Monday isn't beginning exactly as I had hoped considering the plague is slowly taking over my body (and by plague I mean the common cold) but I'm doing my best to convince my body it's not sick... We'll see if my mind is as strong as I'd like to think it is. But while I am still unable to breathe out my nose, I am happy to share the cute boys above, making this Manday Monday just a little bit brighter. File as happy Manday.
