Coveting: Black and Gold.

It's a double dose of Home to Runway this week! Although I spent the early part of my day shopping for non-home items in San Francisco, I couldn't help but peek into a few home stores around Union Square considering I can never have enough lamps, side tables or funky art. Keep reading after the jump for the black and gold items that I'm currently lusting after! File under gold standard.

The Row Spring 2012.

The Row by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen has never been one to pronounce trends. In fact, even though these two petite fashion icons are known for sparking trends among the fashion set alike, they smartly use their line The Row to confront them or rather debunk them. Case in point their spring show with its twenty two all white looks ranging from quite clinical with a bit Japanese avant-garde kimono styling and a little grandma chic. Although it may not be a wardrobe that you’d want to wear past five o’clock, the Row is just the thing to anchor the New York shows in a sea of one-offs. Take that trends. File as easy.

Coveting: Snake Charmer.

Of all the trends I've witnessed this fall, there is none that I am more excited for than colored snakeskin. Don't get me wrong- I've always been a fan of snakeskin among others (PETA be damned) but this season I am completely charmed by brightly colored snakeskin, particularly in the form of accessories. Take for example the Zara shoes I was not-so-delighted to realize that the San Francisco store does not have in my size, the Miu Miu bag featured in Vogue Daily a few weeks ago or the Marc Jacobs bangles that would so love to join any arm party. I am definitely coveting each and every one of these items. Whether shown on the runway at Gucci or Prada, or underneath the arm of a style maven such as Ashley Olsen, I cannot stop dreaming about these brights. File under obsession.
