Love Letter to LA

It may have gotten some maj mixed reviews across the board, but if you really think about it, isn't the mark of a truly great, truly innovative show, is one that ruffles some feathers? (case in point Marc Jacobs for Perry Ellis, Alexander McQueen's trash show, Hedi Slimane's first foray with Saint Laurent, etc. etc.)

Besides, why would I want to see something bland walk down the runway when I can have sparkle fringed bralettes and zebra ruffled mini-shorts? Srsly. Speaking of which, I'm going to be the first in line come Spring for those lock necklaces. File as LA love.

This Crew Right Here.

When did things get so complicated and confusing? Ok, I know, loaded question...but seriously replace the word things with getting dressed in the morning and you have my daily struggle to put together a serious outfit that is actually worth wearing. Maybe I've been working these buns too hard or maybe I've just felt like I am in need of some wardrobe revamping, but one thing is certain: I miss the easy days. Insert J.Crew's Fall 2013 collection. Timeless, sophisticated and above all else, totally wearable. When again will I be able to shop this? File as back to the closet.

Miss Chloe, Baby.

Had to re-post this quote I threw together for the F21 blog. Chloe is totally stealing my heart right now, and after walking the runway for Rodarte yesterday she has absolutely solidified her rank as one of the models of the moment. File as model crush.

Bad Blogger, Bad Blogger.

Soooo... I may or may not have blown off fashion week festivities to play in the snow with my bestie, spend some time with a very adorable one eyed-cat, shop it up with the rents, and spend nights cozied up in Brooklyn with lots of carbs. But the best part? I wouldn't change a thing. File under until the next one.

New F21 boots and wax-coated J Brands were my saviors (ankles didn't agree)

Central Park the night after Nemo hit. Complete perfection.

What to do in a blizzard? SHOP, DUH. #TopshopTwins

Braved the freeze for Laduree. Best part: no line.

The Frick's courtyard.

Oh, hi guys.

View of the Public Library, 5th and a peek of Bryant Park from the hotel.

Shake Shack is the shit. 'Nuff said.

Fashion Month Roundup: Taylor Tomasi-Hill.

Why wear it once when it's just so goddamn fabulous?

You can never go wrong with a knee-covering hemline and a tiny- little waist to boot.

C'mon, how can you NOT smile looking at this dress?! Also see: TTH in Comme des Garcon shorts here.

 I'll vote for a risk-taking outfit any day over a t-shirt and jeans. #CallMeCrazy

Short Shorts Saturday.

Spending the day perusing some of my more favorite (and affordable) shops in Los Angeles with one of my dearest friend's from school, we managed not to melt away from all the heat. Although I was rocking some white denim shorts (from Forever 21, obvi) I was dreaming of wearing something closer to the one's Taylor Tomasi-Hill was spotted in during NYFW. If only, if only. File as #insane.

NYFW Spring 2013: Marchesa.

Just wanted to share a little tidbit of glam today, in the form of Marchesa's Spring 2013 collection. A little Bollywood and a whole lot of gorgeous, the Marchesa gals always know how to put on quite a show. File as needing a little escape today.

Game Changer: Victoria Beckham Spring 2013.

Let me start by apologizing for not being up-to-the-minute on all the NYFW fabulousness. Maybe I was just burnt out after FNO (see the LA recap here) or maybe just too busy with work planning the next big promotion and finding my next apartment, but the last thing I wanted to do this week was pour over fashion week photos. Well, after seeing the Victoria Beckham Spring 2013 collection, the tables have turned. Sleek, sexy, perfect and always on-point, the collection made me want to jump right into spring; thick cable-knit sweaters be damned. So, now that I'm back on track, stay tuned for my loveliness from NYFW because there is no better feeling than a spark of inspiration. File as until the next runway...

-Manday Monday: Menswear Spring 2013-

Hmmm...How is your Manday Monday going? After ogling the boys above (shameless flirt), I have to admit that mine is going oh, so much better now. I'm not sure if I could pick my favorite man, I mean look, but I do have a soft spot for a Chuck Bass skinny suit just as much as I do a good neck tattoo. File as happy Manday Monday kiddies.

Top Shots: NYFW Fall 2012 Part II.

OMG OMG OMG OMG...Those shoes are amazeballs.

Furry hat, for a fabulous lady.

Quite possibly my favorite animal- bears!- and on elbow pads no less.

Why hello there Miss It Girl Hanneli Mustaparta.

Now that is a lot of hair.

Another It Girl spotted: Kate Lanphear.

Totally my look- she even got the bangs down, too.

HATS galore at Prabal!

This just might be one of the chicest outfits I have ever laid eyes on. #ChicToTheNextLev

Cheeky, cheeky.

New favorite color: washed out tangerine.

Oh hiiiii Miss Shala Monroque.

More Prabal madness.

Vera Wang's color palette was mighty different than what she previewed with Vogue. Beautiful nonetheless!

I spy with my little eye, another It Girl...Miroslava Duma.

Need this purse, or something just like it.

Bye, bye NYFW!
