Bath Time.

Acting as a one woman incubus for the viral plague (JK, but not really; *sniffle*) I've spent a considerable amount of time these past few days going back and forth to my bathroom (why I don't just bring the tissue box into my room, I'm still not sure) and let's just say after too many hours of that combined with a massive Pin Binge, I had an epiphany about my home priorities. Here goes: the majority of my day is spent at work (not perusing Instagram all day) and the little time that I am at home, it's spent either in the bathroom or at my vanity getting ready in the morning, or taking a deliciously long bath or shower before I crawl into bed. Now, that's a lot of time in my minuscule excuse for a bathroom (hey, it has a window!) so what's the harm on splurging on a bathroom accessory that makes everything that much more lovely? Enter: the Missoni bath towel. You will be mine someday, and you will love whatever bathroom I put you in. File as Italian dreams.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.

Weeee! I'm back! Well at least for the time being, I'll be hitting up The-Margaret-Files from time-to-time so as not to neglect what I started more than 2 years ago! (#timeflies) In current affairs, I'm craving a change and probs since I haven't stepped foot in a salon in over a year (oof) of course I'm wishing that I had the balls (and by balls I really mean the money for upkeep) to die my hair a crazy-ass color that only someone in their 20s could get away with. File under watch out.

Short Shorts Saturday.

Spending the day perusing some of my more favorite (and affordable) shops in Los Angeles with one of my dearest friend's from school, we managed not to melt away from all the heat. Although I was rocking some white denim shorts (from Forever 21, obvi) I was dreaming of wearing something closer to the one's Taylor Tomasi-Hill was spotted in during NYFW. If only, if only. File as #insane.

Home to Runway: Smoke Signals.

Pink eye never looked so good...not to mention that you can never go wrong with pink cushions.

----------------------------------------------

Insane amount of blue crushes here, reminding me how chic cobalt can be.

Yellow eyeshadow and a matching yellow canvas? Sign me up.

There is a reason that a grey smokey eye (along with equally dark linens) are classics.

-Giambattista Valli Couture Fall 2012-

As I'm sure you very well know by now, nothing gets my heart aflutter quite like haute couture fashion week (well maybe a pair of Topshop shoes as well) but it is this fabulous week that the creme-de-la-creme of couturiers come out to play....not to mention the leagues of editrexes, fashionistas and bloggers that come out of hiding to bask in the best that fashion has to offer. Can you feel my excitement through the computer? I mean really, and with Giambattista Valli's show complete with butterflies, the newest it accessory aka the hairnet (stay tuned for more of that) and flowers (whether in prints or in 3D) exploding from every look I just couldn't get enough. File as garden delights.

-----Roberto Cavalli Resort 2013-----

There may not have been a leopard print in sight, but Roberto Cavalli's resort 2013 presentation was definitely not lacking in the fierce factor. Who knew that florals could look so edgy with lace details, pleated accents and collars up to there? Leave it up to the master of boho edginess to take the Cavalli girl to the next level of sophistication. File as game changer.

---Manday Monday: Pitti Uomo Part I---

Another Manday Monday this week? Sign me up. My Monday isn't beginning exactly as I had hoped considering the plague is slowly taking over my body (and by plague I mean the common cold) but I'm doing my best to convince my body it's not sick... We'll see if my mind is as strong as I'd like to think it is. But while I am still unable to breathe out my nose, I am happy to share the cute boys above, making this Manday Monday just a little bit brighter. File as happy Manday.

Marchesa Resort 2013

Call me crazy, but I feel like I have been swept up by the whole wedding season bonanza as of late. Friends are tying the knot left and right, Pinterest is overflowing with bridal boards, my mother is now talking about my wedding as if I have a boyfriend who is even interested in the notion, and my bank account is slowly depleting. For my dear friend's wedding which I will be a part of (my first!), I searched for months for a bridesmaid's dress, and after looking at a whole slew of them that just scream "hey, I'm uncomfortable and unflattering; pick me!" I was overjoyed to come across a lovely, understated but still appropriate dress from Asos (not to mention affordable.) And now, after pouring over Marchesa's resort  2013 collection, I couldn't help but admire the beautiful options for brides, bridesmaids and mother's of the bride alike. Whether for an understated bash or an all out glamour-fest, these looks are totally picture-perfect. File as hello, gorgeous.

ApartmentPhile: My Next Place Option II.

Back to decor inspiration for my next place (still pending obviously as I'm doing this here virtually and not for realsies.) This approach (check out my first option by clicking here) is one that I'm much more accustomed to when it comes to getting dressed each day. Internally, it happens a little like this...

"...Love leopard. Oooh, but maybe one animal print in one outfit isn't enough? That fringed leather mini-skirt looks so maj with the prints. Now what about adding a floral print to this? Well wait, you can't have leopard print without adding a Missoni zig-zag stripe. Okay, time to add the bracelets, but one is just not enough. Four it is. Oh, and that ring is super cute, must wear that one...and the other one stacked with it since they both look so good together. Geez, now I need a shoe that doesn't have an animal print on it..."

Blame it on my desire to impress at my job or just my general obsession with all things style-related, but I have been straying very far from my more classic look of years past (exempting of course that blue vinyl vest and matching skirt in 4th grade...) But I digress! This possible look for my next (still undetermined) tiny-ass apartment is all about layering it on, much like I do each morning, but the real question is- do I want to style my place how I style myself on my craziest days or my most mellow days? File under conundrum.

------Louis Vuitton Resort 2013------

Prints and pleats and fur and platforms...oh, my. Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton brought the flirty girl back just in time for resort season in a departure from his rather reserved (but still very covetable) fall showing. And who says that your resort season can't start this weekend? Strap on those platforms, throw on a matching printed short suit (the cutest suit look I've seen thus far) and grab your Speedy for the perfect weekend look, whether you'll be at a resort or not. File as Monday dreaming.

ApartmentPhile: My Next Place Option I.

Even though I may not have a place of my own just quite yet (fingers crossed that I can afford something in the next few months)...a girl can dream! And I am definitely one who loves apartments and all their quirks- hence the new ApartmentPhile post label. So over the next few weeks, I wanted to share some of the apartment design styles that I've been throwing around (virtually of course) one of which will make it into my next tiny-ass apartment. The style featured below may be equal bits rustic, glam, chic and industrial but it makes a very big statement with just a simple color palette. File as hard chic, option one.

Top Shots Sydney Fashion Week Spring 2012 Part I.

Stripes for life.

Expertly mixed prints if I must say.

Hello, lover.

Turban chic.

It's Natalie Joos! In her always fab mixed and matched prints.

New favorite purse color.

Crop tops are the new calf-length skirt.

Just bare enough.

Ten bucks says they meant to coordinate their outfits.

DYING to get my hands on a pair of overalls.

Matching bag and skirt? Why not?

That Jimmy Choo purse is divine.

Everyone needs a floral blazer.
