What to Wear, Where

Daydreaming about future travels per us(ual) and started to feel like all my favorite pieces had a destination to match them or vise versa. Haven't made up my mind completely about when/where I'll go next (my For Love and Lemons is calling Florence, my Zara low pumps Rome, and my Stone Cold Fox some farm in the middle of nowhere) but I'll for sure blend in.

Paris + the perfect vintage suede mini --- currently hunting for you at flea markets across Southern California

Dying for these two looks. Talk about some major drams with those extra wide pant/short legs. Not sure I'll be able to decide which I'd rather wear. File under both, please.

Grunge is Good.

Too put it mildly, I've got grunge fever. Although it's the exact opposite of my wardrobe of year's past, I realized when an old friend came to visit the other week, that I may be adapting to my LA home a little more than I thought. What can I say, not everyone wishes the 90's were back, but I sure as hell am happy about it. Next on my shopping list: vintage overalls and an even bigger vintage men's denim jacket to rough up. File as more please.

Look of the Week: West Coast Winter.

Winter may already by saying its goodbyes in Los Angeles, but I have no doubt that there are plenty of other locations that are still a bit chilly. (Case in point, I checked the weather for my NYC trip for fashion week and it's set to be a frigid 15 degrees.) So in an effort to reprogram my brain, I'm attempting to forgo storing all the chunky sweaters to the back of my closet, at least not until I return from the Arctic, otherwise known as NYC. File as lived in LA for too long.

Ok, I have been sitting on this post for entirely too long. Can we just sit and contemplate Natasha Goldenberg's PFW Spring/Summer 2013 outfit above. I mean, really, take a moment because this outfit is worth it, period. I'd like to think of it as a chic advanced style Ninja Turtle gone mad, but the one word that it definitely is (in my mind at least) is perfection. Short Shorts Saturday.

Spending the day perusing some of my more favorite (and affordable) shops in Los Angeles with one of my dearest friend's from school, we managed not to melt away from all the heat. Although I was rocking some white denim shorts (from Forever 21, obvi) I was dreaming of wearing something closer to the one's Taylor Tomasi-Hill was spotted in during NYFW. If only, if only.
