Valentino Couture 2012.

Who doesn't love a good romance? Valentino's collections almost always fall into this category, but this time around the designers went totally romance-gaga for their couture presentation, even referencing the gardens of Marie Antoinette. Heavy beading, lots of lace, sheer gloves, delicate bows and very demure looks all reminded me of past romantics and a time when just the sliver of a wrist was completely shocking. File as simply beautiful.

Giambattista Valli Couture 2012.

Oh my God, couture fashion week is here! Um, I'm fairly positive that I just finished my coverage of the pre-fall presentations this past week (stay tuned for a recap) but by no means am I complaining! Let's be real, this is probably one of my favorite weeks of the year- the couture shows mean crazy, sometimes Oscar-worthy and definitely awesome clothes that will only ever see the backs of the highest echelon of fashionistas around the world. Valli's second (ever) couture show may not have been the first (Versace beat him to it) but it was one of the most beautiful and inspired so far. I may be a California girl at heart, but sometimes I wish I could just be a Valli girl. File as love.

Seeing Double MFW Spring 2012.

If there were one word to describe my sense of style it would probably be eclectic. Even though I may be uber-decisive in the non-fashion word (my response time can be google-fast) when it comes to my own closet I find that my looks can seriously be all over the place. Bohemian luxe with my midi-length t-shirt dress, snakeskin boots and vegan leather faux shearling vest? LOVE. Laid-back glam in my sequined pencil skirt paired with my black bustier and a denim jacket (Abercrombie, circa 8th grade, mind you?) OBSESSED. French cuffed chinos with my fav worn in tee, Missoni cardigan and leopard pointy toe flats? ON THE REG. I think you get the point, mostly that I am a fashion junkie and haven’t met a style I couldn’t learn to love. So next time you’re asking yourself, this or that? Both, I say! Man, I wish all decisions could be this easy. File as have it all.

Vegas: You are So Money.

Where else in the world can you visit Paris, Hollywood, Egypt, New York and Italy all in the span of one night? Welcome to Vegas, baby. Sin city is the perfect getaway for any weekend, especially during the summer when the pools are opened the sun is at its all time peak. Most importantly though, Vegas is all about relaxation, decadence and indulgence and one of the most exciting places to go with your best girlfriend. Even though I've been away from my computer for the past few days, I have yet to complete many of the things on my to-do list for this weekend. Most of them involve cleaning, and so I was pleasantly surprised to find some great inspiration in the form of Vogue Germany's new spread of Ginta Lapina doing just that- cleaning up. So although I spent yesterday exploring the new Picasso exhibit at the De Young with some new friends (more on that early in the week) the rest of my weekend will be spent doing all those boring tasks on my list, the largest of which would be cleaning my apartment. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend...even if you are just working down your to-do list like me. File under messy.
